Life for Madagascar is managing to build up a community clinic in Nosy Be, Madagascar, called “Vita e Armonia” (“Life and Harmony”) which will encompass medical offices for odontoiatrics, oculistics, gynecology, senology, and orthopedics, an X-rays and ultrasound facility and, finally, a lab for medical analyses. The clinic is also provided with a hyperbaric chamber aimed to cure some cutaneous infections which are frequently seen in the local population, and divers who may need help due to gas embolism. In addition, it encompasses two rooms to host foreign physicians who will periodically work in the facility. The clinic should be ready at the end of 2011.
